Autodesk Combustion

Autodesk Combustion training videos,Autodesk Combustion tutorials,Autodesk Combustion software, about Autodesk Combustion,Discreet Combustion training

Combustion 2008 is the newest version of Autodesk's visual effects and compositing software tool.

Combustion is a computer program "for motion graphics, compositing and visual effects" (Discreet, n.d.). The software retails for US$995 (MacMinute, 2004). It is commonly likened to Adobe's After Effects, and shares a timeline based interface with Autodesk's (formerly Discreet) higher-end compositing systems Inferno, Flame and Flint. This is in contrast to the node based interface used by some other compositing applications.

Since the release of version 2, Combustion includes both node view and time line views.

It has since been replaced by Toxik, which is now called Composite.

Shake is a discontinued image compositing package used in the post-production industry. Shake was widely used in visual effects and digital compositing for film, HD and commercials. Shake exposed its node graph architecture graphically. It enabled complex image processing sequences to be designed through the connection of effects "nodes" in a graphical workflow interface. This type of compositing interface allows great flexibility, including the ability to modify the parameters of an earlier image processing step "in context" (while viewing the final composite). Many other compositing packages, such as Blender, eyeon Fusion, Nuke and Cineon, also use a similar node-based approach.
Shake was available for Mac OS X and Linux. Support for Microsoft Windows and IRIX was discontinued in previous versions
On July 30, 2009, Apple discontinued Shake. No direct product replacement has been announced, but some features are now available in Final Cut Studio, such as the SmoothCam filter.

Uses
Shake has been used in such films as Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and King Kong, as well as Harry Potter movies and Cloverfield. It was also used by The Embassy to create a television advertisement for Citroën with a dancing car. Shake was used by Broadway Video for restoring the release of “Saturday Night Live: The Complete First Season” DVD box set. It is also in use by CBS Digital for creating new visual effects for Star Trek Remastered.

Other major productions using Shake include the 2005 adaptation of War of the Worlds, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Fantastic Four, Mission Impossible 3, Poseidon, The Incredibles, Hulk, Doctor Who, The Dark Knight and Pirates of the Caribbean 2.

Shake is also used for video post-production, but in this field Autodesk's Flint, Flame and Inferno systems are usually used in conjunction with Shake for a fast turnaround of projects. Shake's historical strength has been the ability to work better with very high resolution formats such as 2K, 4K and IMAX used in the motion picture industry.

Fusion (formerly Digital Fusion) is an image compositing software program created by eyeon Software Inc. It is typically used to create visual effects and digital compositing for film, HD and commercials. It employs a node-based interface in which complex processes are built up by connecting a flowchart or schematic of many nodes, each of which represents a simpler process, such as a blur or color correction. This type of compositing interface allows great flexibility, including the ability to modify the parameters of an earlier image processing step "in context" (while viewing the final composite).
Fusion is available for 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Microsoft Windows and 32-bit Linux (via a customized version of Wine).

Fusion 6.2 Features

Adobe After Effects

featured visual effects softwares, latest vfx softwares, featured compositing softwares, new generation compositing softwares, vfx softwares, adobe vfx softwares, vfx tools

Adobe After Effects is a digital motion graphics and compositing software published by Adobe Systems, used in film and video post-production. Its main uses are the origination of 2D and 2.5D animation, visual effects compositing and finishing (image adjustement, color correction etc.). After Effects can also be used as a basic non-linear editor and a media transcoder.

Adobe After Effects is primarily used for creating motion graphics and visual effects. After Effects allows users to animate, alter and composite media in 2D and 3D space with various built-in tools and third party plug-ins, as well as individual attention to variables like parallax and user-adjustable angle of observation.
After Effects and some non-linear editing systems (NLEs) are layer-oriented, meaning that each individual media object (video clip, audio clip, still image, etc.) occupies its own track. In contrast, other NLEs use a system where individual media objects can occupy the same track as long as they do not overlap in time. This track-oriented system is more suited for editing and can keep project files much more concise. The layer-oriented system that After Effects adopts is suited for extensive effects work and keyframing. Although other compositing packages—especially ones that employ tree or node workflows, such as Apple Shake—are better suited to manage large volumes of objects within a composite, After Effects is able to somewhat counter the clutter by selectively hiding layers (using the Shy switch) or by grouping them into pre-compositions.
The main interface consists of several panels (windows in versions prior to After Effects 7.0). Three of the most commonly used panels are the Project panel, the Composition panel, and the Timeline panel. The Project panel acts as a bin to import stills, video, and audio footage items. Footage items in the Project panel are used in the Timeline panel, where layer order and timing can be adjusted. The items visible at the current time marker are displayed in the Composition panel.
After Effects integrates with other Adobe software titles such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Encore, Flash, and third-party 3D programs like Cinema 4D.
